Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum is a vibrant and active part of the overall Brooklyn landscape and community. It has an encyclopedic collection with a goal of promoting various perspectives for rich storytelling and engaging with diverse audiences. All work is in service to the mission: To bring people together through art and experiences that inspire celebration, compassion, courage, and the will to act.

Administrative Outline

I was incredibly fortunate to work with a stellar team of conservators, curators, and art handlers during my third year. Most of my time was spent working closely with my supervisors Lauren Bradley and Ellen Nigro, our Mellon Fellow Camille Ferrer, and other graduate and pre-program interns. Below is an administrative outline of the departments I interacted with consistently as well as their direct reports. Board of trustees can be found here.

Research Days

My research days were used to attend the 2024 AIC conference. This was very exciting as it was my first in-person AIC. I was also fortunate enough to attend the Art in Transit 2.0 pre-conference symposium. During the conference I attended talks organized by PSG, RATS, and BPG - as well as talks focusing on outreach and community work. My trip was only possible with the generous funding from TruVue, The Rosenberg travel award, and WUDPAC Student Professional Development award.
